He is also a research scientist with a number of International Publications on subjects including Blood Platelet activity. Dr. Chitre has been honored by the International College of Angiology, The College of American Pathologists and The American Society of Clinical Pathology by inviting him to address their Annual Conferences. He was also a member of the Expert Committee appointed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Bombay, to Formulate their Postgraduate course leading to "Diploma in Transfusion Medicine".
